50 Important Lessons I’ve Learnt On My Self-Worth Journey
Every day I am reminded of how important nurturing my self-worth and taking my time for self-care are. In a conversation with my sister the other day the topic of feeling worthy of our desires came up and after I hung up I reached for my journal to write my gratitude list. I was and I am indeed grateful for the awareness I have developed to be able to spot patterns and thoughts that are not helpful.
Though the awareness is heightened at this point one can never be completely rid of self-doubt and insecurities but having the tools to work through them is the game changer. As I sat reflecting on my journey so far I couldn’t help but make a list of some valuable lessons I have learnt so far. So, this week on the blog you will learn,
50 Important Lessons I’ve Learnt On My Self-Worth Journey
It is interesting how years of learning to love yourself can teach you over 50 important lessons about self-worth, self-esteem, self-love and self-acceptance. When I hit my all-time low half a decade ago, and knew I needed help little did I know that it would lead me on a path of rediscovering myself. Months of coaching brought me to the realisation that I had very poor self-worth and value for myself. All my experiences were linked to how I saw and treated myself.
Being able to go back to see my progress has been due to the journaling I’ve done over the years. A safe space I’ve created for myself to be my own coach among other things. Journaling is one of my favourite ways of distressing after baking. The art of journaling need not be daunting so if you are wondering how to start these self-reflection activities you might find this article on the blog useful
Being Your Personal Coach: How To Journal For Self-Worth
When I started my self-worth journey I had a coach guiding me through my healing but I realised that my actual coaching sessions began after the in-person meetings with her when I was alone with the tools I’d been given. My journal suddenly became my personal coach as I wrote, reflected and referred back to it time and time again. In this article, ‘Being Your Personal Coach: How To Journal For Self Worth’, I’ll shed some light on the unexplored advocate within ourselves, one who can help us grow and flourish.
As we start the week, I would like to encourage that we keep being consistent with nurturing our self-worth for this is how we unconsciously inform the world around us how to treat us. If any of these articles resonate and are helpful please don’t hesitate toleave a comment on the blog and share with anyone who might also find them beneficial.
Have a great week ahead.
