So, February marks Black History Month in the US and being of African descent I thought I’d dedicate some part of this week’s newsletter to celebrating what this means to most African Americans and blacks worldwide. This is new territory for my writing indeed but as my blog shares everything about self-worth, self-care and transitions in life this topic falls well under self-worth and transitions in life.
Today, I would like to share some quotes to illuminate black self-worth, resilience, and inspiration within the Black community. I believe these seven empowering quotes resonate not only with the African diaspora but with everyone working on embracing their true value.

Overcoming challenges has been a stepping stone to self-discovery. It's a testament that our ability to rise is fueled by the adversities we conquer.
Our stories are not just history; they are the blueprint for resilience.
Each one of us has a story worth sharing as we’ve been witness to many great leaders who have fought for justice and rights, each one of us in our own ways are always striving to find our place in life’s big puzzle. The highs and lows we experience become our blueprint for resilience.
Our worth is not a negotiation; it's a declaration.
It is not being conceited but it is a knowing for be when I declare my worth boldly, understanding that it's not up for negotiation. It's an affirmation of my intrinsic value.
The power of our worth is in embracing our uniqueness unapologetically.

In every setback, we find the seeds of a greater comeback.
setbacks are not roadblocks but opportunities for comebacks. The history of the Black community is filled with triumphant returns from adversity.
In celebrating Black History Month, let's amplify the voices of self-worth within the Black community and our individual selves. It is my hope that these quotes serve as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and beauty that resides within each individual. Let’s remember our worth is not measured by the weight of our struggles but by the strength with which we carry them. I’d love to know your experience with how you actively cultivate your self-worth so kindly share these in the comments.
