Happy new week, still on the topic of manifestation techniques, today I want to explore a technique that's as fun as it is effective: vision boards. If you've ever wanted a visual reminder of your desires, whilst bringing your dreams to life then vision boarding might just be what you need.
What is a Vision Board?
As the name suggests, a vision board is a visual representation of your goals, dreams, and desires. It's a collage of images, words, and affirmations that serve as a powerful reminder of what you want to manifest in your life. Personally, I like to think of it as a roadmap to my dream life, a visual reminder of where I'm headed and what I'm working towards.
How Does a Vision Board Work?
Well, it might seem intuitive of how it’s supposed to work but how exactly does a vision board help us manifest our desires? Let's take a closer look at how it impacts our manifestations.
1. Clarifying Your Goals
One of the key benefits of creating a vision board is that it helps you get crystal clear on what you want to manifest in your life. By selecting images and words that resonate with your desires, you're able to articulate your goals in a visual and concrete way.
2. Activating the Law of Attraction
The Law of Attraction states that like attracts like. When you focus your attention on your desires and imbue them with emotion, you send out a powerful energetic signal to the universe. Your vision board acts as a visual representation of those desires, amplifying the energy and intention behind them every time you look at it with feeling.
The Evidence Behind Vision Boards
There’s actually research to back up the effectiveness of using a vision board in manifestation.
Psychological studies have shown that visualization techniques, like those used in vision boards, can enhance motivation, increase goal achievement, and improve overall well-being.
Research has also found that creating a visual representation of your goals can activate the creative and subconscious mind, making it more receptive to opportunities and solutions.
How to Create Your Own Vision Board
Creating a vision board is one of the fun things I love to do either at the beginning of the year or on a quarterly basis. With the help of the internet, it’s much easier to get organised and started so here are a few tips on how to create your own special vision board.
Gather your materials: You'll need a poster board or corkboard, magazines, or images (representing what you desire, I normally use Pinterest), scissors, glue, and any other embellishments you want to use.
Clarify your goals: Take some time to reflect on what you want to manifest in your life, whether it's career success, travel adventures, loving relationships, or financial abundance. I normally journal and pray before I start.
Collect images and words: Flip through magazines or search online for images and words that resonate with your goals. Cut them out and arrange them on your board in a way that feels inspiring and meaningful to you.
Add personal touches: Don't be afraid to get creative and add personal touches to your vision board, like photos, drawings, or affirmations that feel uniquely you.
Display your vision board: Once your vision board is complete, place it somewhere you'll see it every day.
So, as we start a new week and are already in the 5th month of the year there’s still time to get your vision on paper. Vision boards are a powerful tool for manifestation that combines creativity, intention, and the law of attraction. By creating a visual representation of your goals and desires, you're able to clarify your intentions, activate the law of attraction, and align your energy with the reality you want to create.
The key is having an emotional connection with it each day. So, if you are finding the other techniques a challenge or just want a fun way to create your reality on paper then give vision boards a go.
I’d like to hear what your experience with vision boards so kindly share them in the comments.
Happy pinning!
