Lesson 11 in the Science of Getting Rich: Acting in the Certain Way
By thought the thing you want is brought to you, by action you receive it. - Wallace D. Wattles
Faith without deeds is dead, is a famous saying in the bible and in today’s newsletter we will explore the lesson attached to this saying. The 11th chapter talks about not merely dreaming but taking efficient action in achieving wealth and success. This requires a combination of clear thinking, continuous visualisation of our goals, and persistently, efficiently, and purposefully taking action in a manner that aligns with our vision. It reinforces the concept that success is attainable by following a specific path or "Certain Way" of thinking and acting.
The action of thinking, gives our desires form and our faith and purpose impresses our vision upon the Formless Substance that then sets all creative forces in motion through regular channels of action for our good. This might be a mouthful but let me elaborate with this example.
Beginning of the year I made a decision to stick to completing all 4 big goals regarding my business career. I had had this desire for a while and though I was taking action my energy was scattered because I wasn’t focused enough. So when I got really clear about which of them I wanted to complete first, I put a plan together but 2 weeks into this I got a better diversion. It was still on the same goal but a new direction emerged which was an efficient use of my time.
This started a couple of years back pre-covid, I had an online wellness business selling wellness products but Covid hit hard and the sales declined drastically. I needed an avenue to sell off the inventory so I looked at Amazon to do this, as I researched to get my products on there, I discovered another business opportunity that allowed me to expand my product portfolio. I was thrilled but then caught in over analysing as to the what, when and how, and I just played with the idea for a good number of months.
Then I decided to invest into it but I was still not taking the right action until I got clear what I wanted to focus on. See the reason why I didn’t make much of a headway in the previous times was my vision wasn’t clear enough and so I lacked the direction and focus to take the right action. However, as I got really clear this January and put down a plan and milestones, I then found a mentor to guide me through this and within 4 months I had over achieved what I hadn’t been able to in the last 2 years.
Yes when I stared thinking in the Certain Way i.e. got really clear about my vision, believing that I can do it if others had done it and are doing it, I started taking the right action - creating a plan and following through. With this determination the creative forces also sent helpers in the place of a mentor and more suppliers to purchase from.
Now the goal for the year with my e-comm business has achieved in twofold and we still have 3 plus months to go and looking back on what I have achieved I can say my thinking in the Certain Way (getting clear about my desires and visualising) allowed me to see clearly the necessary steps to take and as I did my part I was sent opportunities to help me along. I didn’t wait till everything was in place or in sight I trusted, believed and took action with what I had and where I was. I acted in the Certain Way with faith, following the inspiration and nudges I intuitively received.
As we start the week, I would like to encourage you to once again get very clear about your goal for the week, month, rest of the year and with faith see yourself achieving it, then take action on any idea that comes to you that relates to your goal and watch the magic slowly happen. We cannot always be sure of the “how” or know the exact steps but when we have clarity of the goal we are led to act in ways that are always towards us achieving that goal. I would love to hear your thoughts about acting in the certain Way, so do share in the comments.
