Scripting - Our First Manifestation Tool
In the last couple of weeks, we’ve been looking at manifestation and some of my personal manifestations. From this week and the coming weeks, I would like to explore the different techniques that we can employ in the process of manifestation. Starting with my favourite - Scripting.
What is Scripting?
Scripting is the art of writing down what it is exactly you desire to have in your life. I love scripting because it allows for so much creativity and less restriction. Think of it as writing your dream life into existence. It's like creating your own personal movie script where you're the star, the director, and the writer.
I stumbled upon scripting during a time when I felt stuck and my mentor asked what it was that I really wanted. I wanted to manifest changes in my life, but I struggled to see how it could happen. Even though I thought I knew exactly what I couldn’t articulate it well. Then I was asked to put pen to paper that is when I discovered scripting—a method that allowed me to describe vividly, my ideal life on paper.
How Does Scripting Work?
So, how does scripting work its magic? It's all about using the power of your imagination, words and visualization to manifest your desires. Here's a breakdown of how to get started:
1. Get Clear on Your Desires
Before you start scripting, it's important to know exactly what you want to manifest. Take some time to reflect on your deepest desires. Do you want to land your dream job, attract a loving relationship, or achieve financial abundance?
For example, I wanted to manifest my dream apartment in a well sought-after community in Copenhagen. So, I got clear on the details—what type of apartment I wanted, how I’d decorate it, the type of amenities and facilities it should have and how it would feel to be there. The more specific you are, the better!
2. Write in the Present Tense
When scripting, write as if your desires are already happening in the present moment. Use phrases like "I am" or "I have" to create a sense of immediacy and reality.
For example, I wrote, "I am so grateful that I can now walk just 5 minutes to the gym and my apartment is big, light, airy and has a lovely kitchen.
3. Engage Your Senses
Make your script come alive by engaging all your senses. Describe not just what you see, but also what you hear, smell, taste, and feel emotionally.
For example, I included details like, "I love the smell of coffee brewing from my kitchen and the beautiful vase with flowers on the dining table"
4. Express Gratitude
End your script with words of gratitude as if your desires have already manifested. This helps to reinforce a positive mindset and attract more abundance into your life. I also start by being grateful for… the thing I am desiring.
For example, I concluded my script with, "I am so grateful for this beautiful place I get to call home"
Why Does Scripting Work?
If you are wondering if scripting works here is a psychological and energetic aspect to it:
1. Using Visualisation
When you script, you're essentially visualising your desires in detail. According to research in psychology, visualisation can rewire the brain to create new neural pathways associated with the desired outcome.
For example, studies have shown that athletes who visualise their performance actually improve their skills, almost as if they've physically practised them. Similarly, scripting allows you to mentally rehearse your desired reality and therefore embodying the energy of it, making it more likely to manifest.
2. Emotional Alignment
Scripting also helps you get emotionally aligned with your desires. By expressing gratitude and joy as if your dreams have already come true, you're raising your vibration and sending out positive energy to the universe.
For example, when I scripted about my new apartment, I felt genuine excitement and gratitude as I wrote. These positive emotions created a powerful energetic signal that attracted the right apartment in this community to me.
3. Clarifying Intentions
Lastly, scripting forces you to get crystal clear on what you want. The act of writing down your desires helps you clarify your intentions and focus your energy on what truly matters to you.
For example, I found that scripting helped me prioritise my goals. As I wrote about my new apartment I realised what it was that truly mattered as I could see the consistent theme every time I rewrote my desire. It made it easier to get very clear on what I valued.
How Scripting Has Worked For Me!
My experience with scripting has many facets and the particular example I share here about my apartment is one very recent example. I scripted for about 2 weeks every day before bed on this. I made sure to be as precise and feel into “how it will make me feel when I live there”.
As clear and precise as I was I also left room for God/the Universe to surprise me or give me something better. Before this, I had been searching for months in the same area but not employing any manifestation technique. So, after a third miss on an apartment, it hit me that I was forcing so I turned to my tools and then indulged my imagination as wildly as I could not holding back but also being open to better options. In all this, I knew this was the area I wanted to live so that was quite consistent. Not long an apartment came up and getting that was the easiest experience in all this time.
In my scripting to manifest journey, there are two things I have learnt among others but these are quite important.
a. Be precise and consistent in what you desire and keep the image thought more or less the same. What I mean is stick to one thing at a time until you don’t have a need to write the desired outcome down but can easily embody it.
b. Be open to better options than exactly what you describe. Being open is key to being positively surprised and getting your manifestation quicker. If we are too attached to a specific outcome we block the abundant energy that can give us more than we are asking for.
Keeping these in mind, being consistent and grateful has been life-changing for me. So, as we start the new week I would like to encourage that you give this technique a go. Not only is it fun but you get to engage your imagination in a way that only you can limit yourself.
You seriously have nothing to lose and so much to gain I hope you try it and if you do please share in the comments.
Love & light
